MyRoots Rural Initiatives Foundation

MyRoots Rural Initiatives Foundation (MRIF) is a CSR wing of the MyRoots group, dedicated to the socio-economic development of the farmers and the community at large. Established in 2017, our Farmer Resource Centres provide services in the field of Agriculture and Its allied activities.

MyRoots Foundation has transformed the lives of more than 50000 farmers through different programs that have been conceptualized, managed, and owned by the Foundation. We aspire to generate opportunities for farmers to develop new skills, generate alternate income, and empower them through knowledge sharing.

Our Programs

Training and Skill Development

Our Farmer Resource Centre organizes both one-to-one and group training programs for farmers. We impart training on soil testing, crop specific land preparation, selection of seeds and fertilizers, collective farming, irrigation techniques, pest management, sorting and grading etc that increases farm productivity and standard of living of the farmers.

Financial Literacy

Our financial inclusion programs have brought more than 10000 farmers into the fold of formal finance and it is not just limited to account opening. We facilitate farmers to avail affordable credit, cashless Payments & Remittances, high returns saving schemes, crop Insurance and personal Insurance schemes. We also assist farmers to compute income, planning expenditures and better debt management.

Demo Farms

The demonstration farms serve as a venue to showcase benefits of modern farming techniques over traditional methods. Our Potato and Banana Demo farms in the states of Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal by our expert agronomist have motivated many farmers to follow better farm practices and ripe the benefit in manifolds.

Facilitation of Government Schemes

We organise awareness programs on various government schemes available for farmer’s welfare including Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna, Kissan Credit Card, Soil health Card scheme through our partner organizations. This guidance helps the farmers in a big way to uplifting their standard of living and overall social development.

Animal Health Care

With an objective to create alternate income for farmers, we focus on conducting veterinary camps through experts. We also organise free distribution of animal health care products that supports farmers to monitor animal health and prevent animal disease outbreak, resulting in healthy livestock & steady income.
